North Broad Renaissance Award

Temple University’s vice president for public safety accepted the North Broad Renaissance Award on behalf of the department, crediting several new safety initiatives and the hard work of Temple police officers, dispatchers, security officers and administrative staff.

About Public Safety

The safety of both the Temple and North Philadelphia communities is foundational to the vibrant learning environment we create for our students. As an institution of higher education, our primary goal is educating our students and to do this, we all (city, state, university, partners) have to strive to ensure the safety of this city and our community.

Our team of diverse and trained professionals is committed to nurturing a safe and desirable space for those who live, work and visit. We build partnerships to solve problems and improve public safety in a manner that is consistent, impartial, and transparent.

Temple University Department of Public Safety aspires to establish an environment for its community that is conducive to quality living, learning and working.
