Chief's Corner: Congratulations to Temple University’s Office of Emergency Management who conducted a comprehensive tabletop exercise this month to enhance campus-wide emergency preparedness. The scenario focused on a simulated measles outbreak and involved coordinated participation from senior leaders across key university departments, including public safety, health services, administration, facilities, compliance, communications, and Temple Health. The exercise emphasized role clarity, communication, decision-making, and resource deployment during crisis situations. Leaders underscored the importance of proactive planning and noted that insights gained from the simulation can be applied to a range of potential emergencies.
